First post

This is going to be my blog notebook for English 790, New Media in American Literary Studies.

For lack of anything better to post at the moment, this is my class introduction:

I'm Joseph, and this is my second semester in the literature program. I'm not quite to the point where I'm thinking about my thesis too much yet, but I'm vaguely interested in Native American literature and graphic literature (as in comics and cartooning). Though I do plan on teaching after earning my degree, this is my first pedagogically-oriented class, and I'm really excited about the approach. It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun.
